Common Problems and Solutions

(1) “How do I know when I am done with the assessment?”
You have completed the web application when you view a page that thanks you for your time.
(2) "How many times can I complete the assessment?"
Once.
(3) "I can’t find the website."
You must enter the website address in your browser's address line (a.k.a. the "location bar") exactly as you have received it from the employer. This generally appears as a long, white horizontal block at the top of the page and is often preceded by the words Address, Go to or Location.

Double-check that the address you entered matches the address that you received from the employer. Make sure that you have not added an extra period inside or at the end of the address.

Since each assessment is unique to a candidate, you cannot get to the website by using a search engine and must explicitly use the address given by the employer.
(4) The website displays the following message: "Your session has timed out..."
You may see this message if you go to the website and minimize your browser (rather than exiting from your browser), or bookmark or save the website address as a favorite. Then, you return to the website by maximizing your browser window or by clicking on the website address that you saved as a bookmark or favorite.

To correct this problem, delete the website address that appears in your browser's address line and re-enter the complete and original website address. If you continue to receive the message, close your browser and reopen it. Then, enter the complete and original website address into your browser’s address line.

(5) The website displays the following message: "The User Name and pass Code you entered were not found..."
This message appears when you try to access a website with a User Name and Pass Code that the website does not recognize. You must enter them exactly as the employer has given them to you. Also, make sure that you are entering them in the correct location on the page. For example, you are entering the User Name in the User Name data field and you are entering the Pass Code in the Pass Code data field. You may need to submit a Support Request to the employer to confirm that you have the correct User Name and Pass Code.
(6) When I enter my logon ID, password, access code, or email address the program displays the following message: "Applicant not found."
You will receive this message if you are returning to the website after completing some part of the assessment and you have cookies disabled in your web browser. To correct this problem, you will have to enable cookies in your web browser. Locate the browser that you are using in the list below and follow the instructions to enable cookies.

(7) The website displays the following message: "Page cannot be shown."
The websites are secured sites that use encryption technology to protect your data as it is being transmitted over the Internet. This error is probably related to the security settings that you have enabled or disabled in your browser. You may also receive this error if you are trying to access the website from behind a firewall.
(8) I don’t want to change my browser settings or upgrade my browser, but I would like to complete the assessment.
You can access the assessment sites from the computers available at your local library, some copy stores, or at a friend’s house.
(9) I am stuck on a page. The program will not let me go to the next page. There is no Next Page button on the screen.
If you are using a smaller monitor, you may not be able to see the Next Page button without using the scroll bars. Look for scroll bars that may be visible on the bottom of your display and on the right side of your display. To view the bottom of the display screen, click on the scroll bar appearing on the right side of your display and move the bar down to the bottom of the screen. You may also see a scroll bar at the bottom of the display screen. If so, click on this bar and move it to the right. In some browsers, you may be able to use the Tab key to tab down to the Next Page button.
